ABBOTSFORD, BC — The University of the Fraser Valley invites its 50,000+ alumni to come home and celebrate during the inaugural UFV Alumni & Friends Weekend, April 4-5, 2025. This milestone event caps UFV’s 50th anniversary year with two days of reunions, celebrations, and opportunities to reconnect with fellow alumni, favorite professors, and the campus community.

“Every alumni story is part of UFV’s story,” says Alumni Engagement Director Whitney Fordham. “Whether you graduated last year or decades ago, this weekend is your opportunity to revisit meaningful places, reconnect with people who shaped your journey, and share your success with the UFV community.”

The weekend features faculty-specific reunions, networking events, and exclusive alumni experiences across both the Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses. Alumni can:

• Attend class reunions and social events
• Join industry networking sessions with fellow alumni and current students
• Participate in alumni-led workshops and micro-lectures
• Tour new campus facilities and revisit familiar spaces

Special reunion events are being organized by individual faculties and alumni groups. Alumni interested in coordinating a reunion for their class or program should contact the alumni office by February 28 to ensure inclusion in the official schedule.

Family-friendly activities include campus tours, live entertainment, sporting events, art exhibitions, and hands-on learning experiences for future UFV students. For those who lived in residence, the weekend features the inaugural “Stars vs Legends,” where alumni can challenge current Lá:lem te Baker residents in friendly competition.
