The UFV Alumni Association is proud to share that Alexandra Desautels (BBA ’16), Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pitt Meadows Plumbing & Mechanical Systems (PMP), has been named to On-Site Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 in Canadian Construction for 2026.

The national recognition celebrates emerging leaders whose achievements, leadership and commitment are helping move Canada’s construction industry forward. In its 2026 feature, On-Site Magazine recognized Alexandra as a CPA and MBA graduate who has built a career strengthening the financial systems behind construction.

Since joining PMP in 2017, Alexandra has advanced through the finance and accounting team into senior leadership. Today, she supports financial operations across approximately 16 entities and more than 600 employees, helping provide the structure, reporting and financial discipline required to support a growing construction group.

Her work has helped modernize ERP systems, strengthen reporting and controls, improve forecasting and project cost visibility, and support the organization’s transition to full audits. These systems are an important part of responsible growth, helping project teams and company leaders make informed decisions in a complex construction environment.

Alexandra’s leadership extends beyond financial reporting. She is known across PMP for her calm, trusted and steady approach, as well as her commitment to developing people. She mentors women and emerging professionals in the industry and serves on the boards of the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation and the University of the Fraser Valley Alumni Association.
